Pies

Proper storage of pies: In an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Shelf life  on pies: Fruit Pies, nut pies and cream-filled pies 2-3 days in refrigerator. Unbaked pies 3 days in the refrigerater.

Freezing of pies: Baked fruit pies can be frozen for 8 months, creme filled pies can be frozen for 3 months and unbaked pies can be frozen for 4-6 months.

Defrosting pies: 4-5 hour before serving. Can be served warm (in this case, the shelf life is 1 day). Will keep 1-2 days after thawing(if not heated).

Shelf life on pastry: Minimum 14 days in the refrigerator, wrapped in cling film. Will keep 2-4 months in the freezer wrapped in cling film and aluminum foil.

How can you tell whether they are good or bad:
Mold, bad taste or odd texture. If you doubt, leave it out.
